It's Snowing!

It is not long after I get my voice back I find myself mumbling and talking to myself again.

Has it all melted by now? We've had temperatures near freezing a few nights recently; and the air has smelled like snow. But, alas, no snow has been forthcoming. Oh, well.

So, pandapropaganda, whatever became of mariposagerl? You know, that gal from Seattle (I think that's the name of the place) who used to frequent the inter-net. Also, what's the latest on your state of illness?

Re: Snowing?
Oh yeah it was gone by the next day. :(
I can make a x-mas wish that it snows down in portland for you. ;)

Ginger doesn't get on-line much anymore and she's been engulfed in myspace these days so when she's on, it's as if myspace is all that there is of the internet for her. I'll tell her in 3D land to drop you a line sometime soon. (I'll remind her of that thing called e-mail in light of her predominent use of myspace messages)

Re: Snowing?
Thanks for the Christmas wish, pandapropaganda! I may see snow this coming holiday season, but not here: I'm going to Michigan on 20th December to spend two weeks with my brother and sister-in-law. They've bought me the airline ticket, so off I'll go. (My next-door neighbor will be looking in on the cats.)

You know, I've tried twice now to join that MySpace.com thing. Each time, with several tries per time, their registration engine has insisted I've made an error; but try as I might, I can't figure out what the "error" is (no specifics are included in the error messages). The first time, I sent an electronic-mail message to some guy who's supposedly a big noise there: Bill or Bob or Tom or somebody. No answer was forthcoming. This last time, I sent it via their complaint engine — which makes a point of informing users that the message will be going to customer service and not to Bill or Bob or Tom or whomever the big shot is. Again, I never received a reply.

In my view they've imposed an age limit, which ought to be unlawful. But who's going to care? They're probably using a politically-correct demographic-profile formula to prevent harmful people such as myself from sullying their lovely web site and enslaving innocent young women in a life of, erm, something.

Anyway, if you see mariposagerl you might mention to her that MySpace.com is apparently indulging in demographic discrimination — a.k.a. bigotry — and they can take their site and shove it. I do miss seeing her around on line, but such is life. You take care, now. Have a good Christmas Day and New Year's Day holiday!
