How do those celebrity party girls manage?

Man this last week has kicked my ass. Two Raye Nights, a wedding, Cathy's b-day and the Rasputina concert and there's still more to come. Last night I hit a wall. I didn't work-out or study with cathy. I came home took a nap untill about seven then fell back asleep at 10:30ish. I felt like I was getting sick and with all the stuff ahead of me for this weekend, I just needed a night of rest. I feel much better now and belive I'm ready to face the weekend of dinner,  wii night and Cathy night.
The Rasputina show was a lot of fun. The girls and I went to the Rosebud first and took advatage of the cheep drinks at all night happy hour before going to Neumo's. Before the show (or rather through the opening bands) Raye and Cathy got some food and Christine and I went out for a smoke and ended up getting a cab for some guy visiting from LA. He said he liked Seattle but all we could do was talk shit about LA. We're adorible and aparently very friendly Seattlites since we got him a cab, so we can talk all the shit we want. The show was awesome, many new songs and they even played a song Christine screamed out a request for, which took me by surprise and made me a happy bunny. I got a great spot, compliments of Christine and Raye who are not as shy as Cathy and I about shoving one's way into a crowd. I had an awesome time at the show, I really enjoyed myself.
Afterwards, as the four of us stumbled up the hill back to the apartment, I got hit by a bicyclist while crossing 14th. As if I didn't hate Seattle bicyclists enough, one finally crossed the line, not just brushed by me but hit me in the shoulderblads. I screamed a string of obsenities at him as he rode away. I was so furious. They're a menace, those Seattle bicylists. But who knew, aparently they hate me as much as I hate them. It's a good thing for them I don't drive a car...perhaps a good thing for me too as I would proabably have a vehicular manslaughter charge on me by now.

Death to yuppies on bicycles
I'm with you on the bicyclists issue, Mir. In Portland's yuppie ghettos, of which there are several, trendily-fit 30-something and 40-something males malevolently pedal about on expensive machines as if they own the roads and sidewalks.

(Fortunately, I don't live in one of the aforementioned enclaves. If I did, I'd have to buy a BMW and that's something I cannot afford.)

There's even an activist organization in Portland dedicated to making yuppie bicyclists more obnoxious, a goal I'd have thought impossible. Their favorite tactic is to organize pelotons of middle-class true believers, who then lazily pedal in the middle of roads so as to bring motor-vehicle traffic to a near standstill.

Mere mortals are thereby chastised and, in a theory the logic of which is known only to the faithful, our world is made a better place. In many other cultures, bicycles are a main means of transportation and thus bicyclists living in such places have no need to seek confrontations with either drivers of motor vehicles or pedestrians; but here in the States we've a "car culture" and that's the kind of traffic our roads are designed to accommodate.

Nothing about the vast majority of bicyclists upsets me: They're kids riding about, seeking the next big adventure, or else they're regular-folks grown-ups who simply enjoy bicycling -- or use bicycles for utilitarian purposes, such as chores, in place of a motor vehicle which they may not have. No, arrogant yuppies on bicycles are the ones who make me want to stick a tire pump in their machines' spokes and thus really make our world a better place.

Re: Death to yuppies on bicycles
Here, here, Mr. Cat. I'm the same way. I like bicycles themselves. I like off-city road, bike paths and parks and leisurely strolls on a bike. However hard-core cyclists and thier ego, holier than thou douchbaggery is just too much. Here it is part yuppie part hippie/alternative kids that are on bicycles and have no reguard for traffic laws or minding pedestrians both equally annoying. They have no regurad for the law, then coplain when they get his. The act holier than though becasue they don't use fossil fuels, but run me down when I'm on a walk, also not using fossil fuels. As a walker I'm green too but you don't see me slowing down traffic or running people down.

Regarding Cathy stuff
I don't know who's in charge of reservations and stuff for Saturday night, but I called tonight to put Eric and I on the reservation for dinner and the show, and the dude that answered the phone said there was no reservation for Raye for Saturday night. Also, the show starts at 10:30 (seating at 10 pm) not 9:30 as Cathy had emailed us earlier, so not sure if you guys want to push dinner back past 8:15?

So, as it stands, I left Cathy a vm on her cell, and Eric and I want to join you guys, but have no reservations as of yet.

Re: Regarding Cathy stuff

"There are tickets reserved in Raye’s name. The dinner reservation is in my name at 8:15."

"they are already included in our dinner reservation so they don’t need to worry about that. They just need to worry about reserving two tickets for the show for themselves."

Re: Regarding Cathy stuff
Ah, Cathy said everything was reserved under Raye's name. That's where the confusion started. I think it's all set now, I called back and spoke to a gentleman who said he would add 2 more to Raye's reservation for the tickets.

Sheesh, I can now blame all this confusion on Cathy. :-p

Re: Regarding Cathy stuff
After all that frustrating stuff, Eric and I decided not to stay for the show due to the dogs. We will just be meeting you guys for dinner. For us to go to the show and dinner, we would have been leaving our house at 6:30 and not be able to get home till 1:45 am as the show doesn't start till 10:30 pm and gets out around midnight. Not fair to the pups (Oscar's still recovering from all that medical stuff from last week) and we also have plans on Sunday that we don't want to be exhausted for. So, we'll see you at 8:15 (don't be late, they clear out the restaurant at 9:30, sheesh!) for dinner, and we can probably stay a little after dinner for some drinks at the bar or something. :-)

Re: Regarding Cathy stuff
I passed these messages on to the girls and we'll call you when we're at Christine's house tonight. I belive you didn't need to make reservations we already had you covered in our so we would all have a tabel together, but I really don't have anything much to do with the planing it was all raye and Christine. I'm sorry for the unnessary frustration. :( ANd I'm sorry they were rude to you.
