Weekend in-review

Last weekend was the closing weekend for the show, so I worked every night at the theatre, went out with the cast afterward each night (except Thursday). Friday, after the show I went out with the cast, then got home to discover there was a little impromptu game night at my apartment.  On closing night, Saturday I even dressed up and everything, which I’m probably paying for because now I’m sick. I’m going to miss this show, it was a lot of fun and I was proud of how well my dad did. However, having more time to myself for the holidays certainly wont be a bad thing.

Sunday I got free tickets to the Seahawks game from Teri at the theatre. She’s the personal assistant for the Pigiott family and these were their seats they didn’t need for some reason or another and guess who got ‘em...this girl. Actually I took advantage of the opportunity because I knew Raye would really like to go. She’s a big Seahawks fan and hasn’t ever been to a regular season game before. So we went, we were in fancy-pants club level and on the 50 yard line and guess what I had a lot of fun. I still think football is a dumb sport with so many little rules it’s hard for me to get into it, but actually going to a game and drinking beer on a Sunday afternoon was super fun. I can see the appeal. There was just so much going on, all these people, all that noise (no wonder I can hear a game from my apartment sometimes), scantily clad cheerleaders (who seem kind of superfluous in the context of that big stadium because there’s so much else going on.) It was a lot of fun and I spent WAY too much money but I really didn’t give a shit because I was having too much fun.

Now though, I’m sickish and it blows. I might leave work early. My glands in my throat are crazy swollen, breathing hurts, talking hurts too and I’m coughing up bright green phlegm which is never good. Then of course the general achey-ness.I need to get  better for my birthday I must get better. I should go home. I feel miserable.

Wow - awesome seats! My throat is always crazy swollen and it hurts to talk and breath the day after I go to a Seahawks game, though probably for a different reason. Glad to hear you had a good time. Get better soon!

Yeah I didn't spend that much time yelling. I was more in amamzement of how loud it got in there, especially on 3rd downs by the other team. Crazy Crazy loud.
