We aren't using the zed word

Monday I went to see Stereo Total at Neumo’s. I didn’t have anyone to come with me so I got to the venue, drank and did some people watching. There were these girls on the all ages part of the floor, teenagers with their camera that were fun to watch. Looking down at them from the mezzanine I watched them scatter and dance around to take pictures, then all gather together in a little huddle to review the pictures they had taken. From my viewpoint they kind of reminded me of pigeons huddling together around a pile of bread crumbs and gradually scattering away only to come back ‘round together when more breadcrumbs show up. I had a handful of drinks, as many as I could get in before I went down to claim my place in front of the stage. They put on a good show, as usual. There was a lot of energy and I danced around like an idiot. I rocked out. Didn’t get invited up on stage this time, but that was okay. After their bit was over, I went out to smoke a cigarette and realized how intoxicated I was (I didn’t really notice with all the dancing and good times during the show) so I ended up hitting the Rosebud and going home.

Wednesday I got my chance to be made up as a zombie for my dad’s video project. I had to bartend on Saturday so I didn’t get to be a zombie, just a victim. However, last night I got to sit in that make-up chair for a half hour or so and get a bunch of latex wounds applied to my face. Julia did an awesome job. Check it out.

Julia from the theatre did the make up. She did a very professional job, I thought.

There was some heavy stuff that happened this week that I could go into but I’m not going to because a) it’s weird to follow up zombies with heavy stuff and 2) because it will make me sad. Very sad.

Wow, Mir! You look like you've been hit by a truck! I mean that in the nicest zombiest of looking! :-)

he he, when you're a zombie it's the one time people can basically say you look grotesque and it's a compliment. :)
