I needed that...

So, as you might have noticed, I’ve been Lady Cranky Britches lately. On top of people at work getting on my nerves, my Mp3 player disappeared over the weekend. Luckily I have my mums old one which I put my own stuff on. I also have had a hard time finding a replacement for my headphones (the kind I love have been discontinued) and all I could find were ear buds, which I hate.

Well. After I found suitable (not what I wanted but will do for the time being) headphones after work yesterday I went on a walk. I didn’t have any plans for the evening so I went ahead and went for a long one. I mapped it this morning and it turned out to be the longest walk I’ve done/mapped out at 13.85.
It really did the trick. I walked off some serious irritation and anger. It also helped that yesterday was freaking BEAUTIFUL. The mountain was out, crisp and clear. The sky and the water were a brilliant blue. It was great! Oh yeah, I even saw a Midget in Freemont to add to my midget count! Midget count is now at 19. DAMN!

I’m thinking I want to do a 20 mile walk around the city by the end of the summer. I mean I’d have to do it proper but I’m so close. Working myself up to that would give me a goal, which I think I really need because I’ve been more lackadaisical about working out this spring than I have been for years, and it’s starting to show and I’m not liking that one bit. So this’ll be good. Maybe set the goal to do it right before I go to Colorado Labor Day weekend. Eww it’ll be hot in August wont it. Eh, I’ll wake up early.

Oh man, that's such a good idea. I should walk from my place to my mom's in Shoreline... and if I walked back, that'd be at least 20 miles!

Woah! From beacon hill to shoreline and back, that's gotta be more than 20 miles. My ODC I like to make circles. I don't like to go one way, turn around and come back. I'm just seeing the same thing twoice. I like to go routes with the prettiest view too, so 99 is out of the question. :P

Damn. And here I am all proud that I walked 6 houses down the street and back. Good luck on the 20 mile goal. I'm sure you'll make it.

Thanks. I wasn't trying to rub it in or nothin. I wouldn't be walking more than 6 houses after a surgical procedure either, of course.

Oh yeah. I know you weren't rubbing.

I think it's great that you are able to commit to and actually follow through with these walks of yours. Even if I were 100% healthy I don't think I'd be able to do the walks you do. I looked at the map you posted and there is no way I'd do that. It would probably take me all day to finish that route.
