Last night kicked ass!

Alright. Last night was the Stereo Total show with the Gossip. I'm not going to get into this for too long becasue I need to eat, smoke and go to class. :/ But here's what I'll say

The following things made me very happy:
-that Francois (sp?) was just walking and around the venue (looking for something, I think, missing contact lens or something, who can say) and nobody seemed to know who she was ('cept Ging and Mir)
-Running into Victoria at the show
-that the Gossip rocked my fuckin' socks (as per usual)
-that Stereo Total were insanely entertaining
-that we were backstage hangin' out with 'em after the show and he offered us a beer. (!!!!)
I'm sure Ging will write more on her page about it later, I don't have time to get into the deets but let me say it was bitchin' and I never use that word, ever. (I'm a dork, I know)
-have to say that I'm also happy that I woke up, went to grammer and still managed to finish typing my (rough draft)of a paper thats due today. I fucking rock!

Good times

Only downside:
-no ventalation in Chop Suey
-got more sweaty than i've ever been before in my life (eww)
-had to go to school the next day
-broke my dry spell again

I'm happy to know you had a good time at the concert/gig/show/whatever! I can relate to the lousy-venue thing: When I saw Cat Power back in 2000 she played at a lousy venue, the Pine Street Theater. The bar opened right off the main floor, Chan Marshall doesn't belt 'em out like Martha Raye and hence half the time you couldn't hear her for all the yammering from the stupid bar-crowd types. It was also extremely hot inside the place, as in "no ventilation." Plus (and I just don't get this part of contemporary concert venues) there was no place to sit — apart from the bar.

Happily, however, I eventually managed to find a standing place right up against the stage. Yay for me! *wants to attend a Cat Power gig again some day but not at the Pine Street Theater*

Congratulations, too, for soldiering on with the course work! Just when you've got the college thing down, it's time to graduate. *recalls with horror certain final-term clock-around projects*

Re: Yay!
yes, we all run ito uncomforatble enues/ We know that the owners themselves are not (specifically) to blema, they just want ollks in thier business, but at a certina point it's like "hey, I know this act aint on MTV but they deserve a bigger benue than this" however, at a bigger venue, you know you might be further away from the object of you inspiration. I like small venues in that you are very intimate with the preformer, however, it can get very cramped too.

Thanks, too for your kind words on graduatin. It really really really does men a lot to me (even as an internet friend) that you push me on to succeed and excell. I mean that. Even for an internet friend, it really means a lot to me, that you's like me amd want me to excell. You rock. You're always welcome to my graduation. ;)

Re: Yay!
Thank you, pandapropaganda, for your kind remarks about my (shall we say) nudgification. The occasional nudge, to encourage someone embarked upon a difficult quest, costs nothing and hopefully has meaning. I'm very glad to know my nudgifying is welcome!

I would be honored to attend your graduation, so send me an invitation and I'll see what I can do to get there. Perhaps you could tell me what manner of transportation, apart from a privately-owned vehicle, comes within reasonable walking distance of the venue?
