Today sucks!

The stupid smoking ban passed so that's it. I'm finished with this place. I'm moving to someplace without you non-smoking fascists! I'm a nice smoker, too, who tries to see your side of things and tries to excuse myself and not bother people when I smoke but you people are taking my right to drink and smoke at the same time and it just burns me up inside... Hell with the 25 feet clause I can't even sit outside vita and have a cigarette with my coffee anymore--HOW ANTI SEATTLE IS THAT???? So that's it. I'm moving to Paris, where they'll alyways smoke (especially if it's still on fire by the time I get there). I'm gone. FU Washington with your uptight liqor laws and new smoking ban. Obviously what I pay in sin taxes means nothing to you. We had some good times, but you're gettin on my tits.

That AND I lost my gig with the make-up lady today. Back to the job hunt. It's going to be really really tight now. I gues I wont be able to go to bars anymore anyway. Permanent drinkin' and smokin' at home. I'm blaming washington state voters for pushing me to drinking alone and encouraging anti-social drinking and alcholism.

I'm double posting, so shoot me!
Forgive me, pandapropaganda, because I've posted this already over at mariposagerl's journal but I feel like repeating it here.

"'Delerious yuppies in mass orgasm'

"Well, if it is what I think it is [mariposagerl didn't directly identify the anger-producing phenomenon] then I'm sure They'll be here [Portland] next. Of course, They're here already actually; and They've worked Their overpaid middle-class butts off on this sort of thing for the past 20 years. Political correctness has now achieved yet another victory.

"Being from a generation older than that of the yuppies, I was brought up in semi-ignorance: I'd long thought problems which warranted effort and money to solve were such phenomena as bad diets, dangerous technologies (motor vehicles), illnesses, intolerance, lack of shelter, poverty, war — stuff like that. Silly me!

"Well, the yuppies will be dancing in the streets and are sure to give themselves all the credit for this latest manifestation of intolerance and misplaced priorities; but the quiet motivator, the one we don't hear about via public media but which strikes terror into the hearts of all establishments is: insurance corporations."
